Right now, I’m really into sewing. Really into it. But I also just learned crochet last year. And I’m taking a beginner embroidery class in February. And I’ve been knitting most of my adult life, and it just makes sense to me (unlike crochet… sorry!). And I’m a children’s librarian who always has an explosion of craft supplies in her office. So, yeah. I like crafts, and I like to make stuff.

That’s not all, though. I used to have a candle shop (the joy ran out when I had to make candles, but now that the shop’s gone, I want to get back to it). I love making resin doodads to accent them, or just other things in general. I have a washi tape collection of over 500 rolls, and I don’t want to count how many sticker sheets. I have clay, brush markers, expensive acrylic paints, and so much paper.
I have bookbinding supplies, although I’ve never actually attempted to make a single book. I have a felt kit that was gifted to me two years ago and I swear I’m going to make one day soon. I have two cross-stitch kits from my trip to New Zealand… one was done immediately, and one’s still sitting in the packaging six years later. Maybe next week. They call it ADHDIY for a reason.
So… stay tuned to see what I’m up to at any given time, as well as insights on various crafts from a newbie (embroidery) to intermediate (sewing) and beyond. Also, probably some rants about Michaels and lamenting the closure of Joann’s. You know how it is, if you’re in the US.
Welcome!
