I love to make things with my hands!
I’ve been a lifelong crafter, learning at an early age from a family of seamstresses, knitters, and the like. Right now my focuses are sewing, knitting, and crochet, as well as kid-friendly crafts at my day job (children’s librarian)!
I’m always getting into something new, so come see what my ADHDIY has pulled me into today!

1. How long have you been sewing?
I learned how to sew at a very young age and always knew some of the basics, but only really started getting serious about it in the last couple years. I started taking classes in the fall of 2024 to finally achieve my goal of making my own clothes!
3. Why do you craft?
There are so many reasons, but the top three: I’ve always been a very artsy person and love making unique things (especially for gifts!); there is so much waste in the world of fast fashion and I want to make good quality things that last; and I have to always keep my hands busy!
2. How long have you been knitting?
I started knitting in 2013, despite the universe trying to get me to start well before that. Once I finally picked up needles and got to it, I loved it and was a natural!
4. I always wanted to learn but never did; how do I get started?
That’s a good question with many different answers, depending on the hobby! I’ll be delving into this more with blog posts, but short answer: you may be surprised at what you can find at your local library! Whether that’s a knitting group, a makerspace, or just a Creativebug account, many libraries have tons of resources for budding crafters!
